Party Party - IQ: Mitä??

Terve Terve

Friends come back from Ireland - Welcome back Lilö!! - and the first partyweekend passed by too fast!
Friday was an adventurous evening in the El Harem. They invited for the Student Party - ok, let's go! Of course not everybody was a student in there - what I had to experiance! After chating with a guy who pretended to be a marketing manager of architecture (mitä??) and who doesn't have time for a second girlfriend (I was really relieved to hear that!) I asked myself, if it wouldn't be nice to control also the IQ of people going to a student party....
If you wish to know more about this "wonderful" encounter with the marketing manager of architecture, just contact me :-)
Saturady I first expaned my cultural horizon by visiting a turkish wedding-eve party. It was really very special, but also very nice and interesting! Thank you to my friend Fatis who took me there and explained me all the traditions I didn't understand!
After the wedding-eve party we went together to the Ü25 (over25-party) and danced till the early morning. It reminded me a lot of some people I met in Joensuu, especially when they started to play some lation-songs :-) I'm looking forward to party with all these people again soon!

Have a good monday

Volleyball and aching muscles

Terve Terve

One of my leisure activities in Switzerland is to play volleyball (during my stay in Finland I prefered to go to sauna instead of playing volleyball...). And last night I had a game with the mixed team of Rothrist.
The team did pretty bad during my absence as you can see in the ranking. The game last night took place in Baden. The game was tough and Rothrist played really well - but we unfortunately lost again! After 5 sets we lost the tie-break :-( Nevertheless, we had great fun and it was nice to play!
But now... my muscles aches!! Perhaps I should have played more volleyball in Finland instead of going to the sauna?? I don't think so ;-)
Hopefully we'll win the next game!

Snow - Finally!!

Terve everybody!

After having an extremly warm time back home in Switzerland, it finally snowed last night!

This was the view I had out of my office here in Switzerland few days ago. Everything is pretty green. Some trees even got flowers etc. In the Tessin, the south part of Switzerland, they got temperatures of 22°C !!!

But finally it snowed last night! And now, after a bit of snow, the view looks a bit different :-) I hope, that we will get some more snow because I would like to spend some days skiing :-)

Life without Finland and Sauna

Terve Terve

Life without Finland and Sauna is different. I still need to get used to it.
THE highlight of the last days was the as called Tatze Derby. This was a ice hockey game between my favourite club, the SCL Tigers against the biggest rival, the SCBern. Of course, these games take place four times a season, but the one from last sunday was special! The game was an open air game in the new Stade de Suisse with over 30'000 spectators! This is a new European record! It was very special to be a part of this huge event!
Exept for this event nothing special happend... I started to attend my volleyball training again with my team - and now everything hurts! I guess, because I couldn't go to sauna after practising ;-)
Today I would love to go out with some of my Finnish Friends and enjoy the snow with them in Joensuu! Well well...

Back home

Dear all

Finally I managed to come back home. Home to Switzerland...
The days I spend in Berlin were wonderful - I enjoyed it very much, eventhough the weather was not as good as in Spain ;-)
New Years eve was a fantastic event with many nice people and friends!
And now I'm here in tiny Aarburg, missing a warm Sauna ;-) By the way: Sauna in Switzerland is horribely expensive! I checked the price for the sauna in the swimming pool in my neighbour town: 10€ for one entry!!!!! Nice prices.... but as I am addicted to sauna, it is possible that I'll pay 100€ for 12 sauna-turns... pretty crazy, isn't it?

Oh, I posted some pictures from my stay in Spain. Perhaps you like to see and comment some of them.

Happy New Year - Es guets Nöis!

Dear All

I wish you all a very happy 2007!!!
Many things happened since I left wonderful Finland. Well... before I left Finland, I got the nice experience of having a lot of wonderful glögi with vine and decorating a Christmas Tree in Helsinki. All this was mixed with the joy of knowing, that I'll go to China for two weeks in April! Kiitos Hyvää Eve!!!!
After arriving in Switzerland - the country where the sun is shining for a looonng time ;-) - my family and I travelled to Spain, a country where the sun is even shining for a longer time! We celebrated Christmas there together and did some sightseeing (in the sunshine). On Christmas Eve they even showed on the Spanish television something about Rovaniemi and Santa - I felt a bit "homesick".
After sunny Spanish Days I flew to Berlin to see Michael. Berlin is not that sunny - but has other nice qualities :-)
New Years Eve at the Brandenburger Tor, lots of different bars and restaurants with amazing cheap drinks and food :-) Time goes by soo fast here!
Tomorrow I'll leave Berlin and I'll finally go home where I'll miss my Finish Friends and the sauna and where I'll enjoy long days, the mountains and my Swiss Friends (who like Cheese-Fondue :-) ).

I'll post pictures when I'll be at home.
